A proposal to establish a designated gathering spot for migrant day-workers in Herndon, Va., has caused a bit of controversy up here. Yesterday, a wingnut AM-radio talk-show host had some choice things to say about it:
“You need to help . . . [Herndon] Mayor O’Reilly understand he’s advocating breaking the law . . . and assisting criminal aliens who are in this country destroying this country, stealing jobs, running drugs, raping people. This is not an approved activity for the mayor of Herndon, Virginia,” host Mark Williams said, according to an audio recording on the station’s Web site. Williams broadcast from KFBK-AM in Sacramento.
He then read aloud the telephone number of Town Hall dozens of times and urged listeners to “melt that switchboard” and picket O’Reilly’s law office a block away.
Local listeners proceeded to heed the California-based voice of reason and “melt that switchboard:”
“We didn’t have any second thoughts about pulling the plug” on the Town Hall phones, said Town Manager Steve Owens, reached late yesterday on his personal line. “This was a tsunami.” The volume of calls threatened to crash the phone system of the small building, he said, and the comments were offensive. “They were vile and resembled hate speech. . . . They were anti-immigrant,” Owens said.
The sleazy wingnut talk-show host, Mark Williams (who’s filling in for Michael Graham, who was suspended for calling Islam (the entire religion) a “terrorist system”), tried to pretend racism and xenophobia have nothing to do with this, saying it’s only illegal immigrants that he and his listeners object to. Uh-huh.

I see you failed to tackle the original issue about the government official actually breaking the LAW!
That is normal for a liberal.
Second, us wingnuts (crazy Constitution lovers) are not anti-imigration, as any non-loony liberal already knows. We are however very anti- ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT!!!
But write it so your lies make sense if it works for you.

Hmmmm…..
1. What laws do you think the mayor broke?
2. So you’re telling me if those day-laborers happened to be English-speaking white people instead of Spanish-speaking Latinos, it would make no difference? There would still be talk about how they were “ruining the country, running drugs, raping people”?
3. You’re pretty fast and loose with talk of “lies.” Can you go ahead and point out a lie, please?
