The poor thing
It’s pretty tough to be Michelle Malkin. After her incredible display of courage on the 14th, when she gleefully posted the news of Cindy Sheehan’s husband’s petition for divorce, a lot of mean liberals said bad things about her. Being a tough journalist who only cares about the truth is making her tired, she says:
It has been 10 days since I first posted on Cindy Sheehan, and after sticking my neck out and taking massive amounts of ongoing abuse and ridicule for giving her the scrutiny she deserves, I am more than happy to let others pick up the slack.
Yes, Michelle Malkin is “Sick of the Summer of Sheehan.”
Although she’s tough as nails (Captain Ed says she “has one of the thickest skins in the blogosphere”; perhaps he meant “skulls”?), there’s only so much she can be expected to take. Can you imagine how hard it is for Michelle to have to listen to Cindy Sheehan say bad things about President Bush and the war in Iraq? It’s probably even worse than that time some mean lefty in the comments section of Kevin Drum’s blog called her a “cunt.”
The amount of wingnut Kool-Aid that Michelle has to consume every day has got to be keeping her up half the night with repeated trips to the bathroom; it must really be frustrating, not to mention exhausting. No wonder she’s “Sick of” this “Summer,” the poor thing.
