Back to Phlame - Plame - Flame and Wilson, eh?
You liberals just keep rehashing lies thinking that makes it true.
Secondly, I would worry about Jay Rockerfeller and his leaks about US wiretaps - a clear case of a REAL security leak - jepardizing the lives of thousands or millions of Americans. Typical partisian and hate-filled liberal - whining over a bitch desk jockey on the cover of Vanity Fair, but not batting an eye when a real covert operation keeping Americans sage is exposed for political gain. How stupid are liberals?
Third, George Bush is not running for president again.
Not like Czarina Hillary - who already served 8 years and wants to go again.
Now Hank already destroyed the DNC Security platform - the only thing these dregs have published yet as an actual plan. It was not a plan of course - but it was a string of promises and dreams. In other words - the usual breast milk for morons and the useful idiots that are liberals.

By the way, the leaks in question here have to do with "the release of classified information to bolster the U.S. case for the Iraq war in 2003," not Plame.

According to "Scooter" Libby, Dick Cheney told him [Libby] that President Bush "had authorized the release of portions of the National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq."

This was done in order to discredit what Joseph Wilson was saying about Saddam's efforts (or lack thereof) to obtain African uranium.

Now the Bush administration is retroactively justifying these leaks of classified info by saying, "He wasn't leaking info, he was declassifying it."

Of course, the president may declassify information if he sees fit to do so. But here it's being used as a retroactive justification. Retroactive justifications are definitely one of the hallmarks, the defining characteristics, of the Bush administration.

Hey, it's good to see you blogging again, by the way. You do good work. Keep at it, dude.

Hey. Classification of information can be done with the stroke of the president's pen. So he's right about that.

But it's a federal law that you can't out the identity of a covert CIA operative. Not that you can't out the CLASSIFIED identity of a covert CIA operative. So it doesn't matter whether or not Valerie Plame's name was classified, it's still a violation of the law.

And if all he was doing was declassifying information, as he claims, why did he go on national television and say that THIS INSTANCE WOULD BE INVESTIGATED? Why didn't he just tell the DoJ and the American people that THERE WAS NOTHING TO INVESTIGATE?!?

sigh....
