Classification of information can be done with the stroke of the president's pen. So he's right about that. But it's a federal law that you can't out the identity of a covert CIA operative. Not that you can't out the CLASSIFIED identity of a covert CIA operative. So it doesn't matter whether or not Valerie Plame's name was classified, it's still a violation of the law. And if all he was doing was declassifying information, as he claims, why did he go on national television and say that THIS INSTANCE WOULD BE INVESTIGATED?
