Islam for Wingnuts
If you spend any time looking at the right-leaning blogosphere, you’re sure to run across these two interrelated terms sometimes. Here’s what they mean:
Word: Dhimmitude
Wingnut Definition: Giving the slightest consideration to the thoughts, opinions, and/or feelings of the approximately one billion Muslims in the world. This is tantamount to abject surrender to the ongoing Muslim effort to take over the world by violent force.
Usage notes: Bonus points for pretending to scholarship by name-dropping Bat Ye’or. Additional bonus points for referring to the Democratic Party as “the Dhimmicraps.”
Word: Taquiyya [sic]
Wingnut Definition: A Muslim’s inbuilt and ineradicable proclivity to lie, deceive, and dissemble about the true nature of his/her beliefs. All Muslims want to take over the world, killing each and every infidel who refuses to submit to “dhimmitude” (see above); if they say they don’t, they’re exhibiting taquiyya.
Usage notes: A wingnut will invariably misspell this word, inserting an incorrect and otiose letter “U” between the “Q” and the “I”, as I have done here. To spell the word correctly would be an act of (you guessed it) “dhimmitude.” The orthographic conventions of the English language must not be allowed to submit to the yoke of second-class citizenship. “U” must follow “Q,” or the terrorists have won. Besides, if God wanted people to speak other languages, then why did He write the Bible in English, readers?
