Malkin: This should be about ME, ME, ME
Kathy Sierra, a tech blogger and author of several books on Java (the programming language), is subjected to disgusting personal attacks and death threats. Michelle Malkin’s reaction is to get pouty, self-righteous, and jealous when other bloggers express sympathy for Kathy Sierra:
[W]here have y’all been? … The death threats Sierra received are no worse than I’ve received since starting this blog…
Keep blogging. Don’t cut and run.
…[M]y unsolicited questions for all of you high-falutin’ tech bloggers now taking a stand against such hate-mongers and purging your blogrolls in solidarity with women bloggers who have been abused by the male-dominated tech world, though, are these:
Do you condone the Gawker empire’s racist Filipina ping-pong ball jokes?
What about Gawker’s fraudulent use and adulteration of personal spring break photos from college girls who have yet to receive an apology? Do you plan on objecting now?
Or is it just harmless fun when tech elite in-crowd bloggers smear and target other bloggers and innocent bystanders whose politics you oppose?
Just how much of the bullying you now loudly condemn–bullying glamorized by your own blog friends, peers, and business partners–have you been blindly and silently condoning all these years?
That’s right, Michelle. It’s all about you. You’ve been so brave, you poor thing, for so long now, and “the techblogging elite” has never come to your defense.
Get over yourself.

She once sent her online goon squad after Alex of Buck Hill when he made a ping-pong-ball joke on Wonkette. (Sadly, he pretty much quit writing his own blog (which was top-notch) when he landed a gig with Gawker Media. His blog was already semi-moribund when Malkin’s fans came to avenge their Queen.)
Now, Malkin has certainly had to put up with some really sick hate mail, I mean just disgusting shit that no human being should have to be subjected to. She should be granted that point.
But she has got the thinnest skin of any big-league blogger on the Internet. She makes Ann Althouse look positively stoic and unflappable. And, as she showed in this post, her memory for slights and insults is fucking elephantine. The insult she’s referring to here took place in May of last year.

What if I told you that I sent her an e-mail telling her that her website sucks ass? Would you hate me? Because I did. :)
