Great interview…great translation… but did the interviewers mean “Cassandra” rather than “Medusa”? The Medusa reference was rather confusing (though I think DeLillo tries to make it make sense, out of politeness, when he refers to a writer “ossifying”…)

Thanks for your kind words. I think you’re right — the interviewers surely must have meant “Cassandra” when they said “Medusa.” When I first saw it, I went and looked at the Wikipedia article on “Medusa” to make sure I wasn’t missing something. “Medusa” really doesn’t make any sense in the article, at least not that I can see, anyway.
