Are 68% of Americans suffering from "Bush Derangement Syndrome"? Are 68% of Americans "a little nutty"? And, by the way, what does Iraq have to do with my "safety," or yours? Are we going to keep troops over there forever to keep the American people safe from roadside IEDs and mortar attacks? Are you expecting Iraqi insurgents to invade your Michigan hometown anytime soon? H.D., you might want to check the polls once in a while before you pontificate on what you think Real Americans want. Why else would our elected officials keep the War in Iraq going?" To still be complaining about the invasion of Iraq - 4 years after the fact, with zero domestic terrorist attacks - is a little nutty. And to wish to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory just to soothe your Bush Derangement Syndrome - at the cost of thousands of lives I might add - is quite frankly insane. Take a hit from whatever pipe you have and let the grown ups worry about your safety. All I am saying...is give victory a chance! At some point a sane base might say, “Hey maybe we got it wrong. Why else would our elected officials keep the War in Iraq going?”
