The Shrill Cry of Internet Bugles
When a wingnut works himself into a state of sufficiently high dudgeon, readers, it won’t be long before talk turns to the subject of civil war. Think of it as a sort of corollary to Godwin’s Law.

Blue and Gray, eternally at odds, honor and glory set to the shrill cry of bugles and the smell of woodsmoke
Mark Noonan of Blogs For Victory (formerly known as Blogs For Bush) is the king of Internet civil-war declarations: you may recall his infamous “lake of gasoline” diatribe of 2005/09/29, or his warning from last September that Democratic “white-hot hatred… is the stuff with which civil wars are made.”
Our friend Hank Dagny of Liberal Quicksand has joined in with this shrill warning of tyranny and subsequent civil (and/or Revolutionary) war or wars to come, thanks to Hillary Clinton:
[The next President will be] Hillary – and it will be tyranny, and there will be a civil war. A bang or a whimper is hard to say, but I predict only a whimper. This nation has gone soft.
[...]
When Hillary gets in – it’s over. We will need another 1776 to survive and I doubt China will give us the time to get on our feet as France and Spain did after Britain surrendered.

Is that one guy standing there with the red shirt and sword raised Tim McVeigh?
That’s Hank standing way in the back.

LOL

We might want to be careful about teasing Hank. I think he’s capable of being provoked into actually making a direct physical threat on a political figure.

Hey Reid, do you remember the ‘Wizard’ in ‘The Wizard of Oz’?

Besides, somebody beat him to it.

The Boston Tea Partys have started. They will be civil affairs at first.
But B. Hussein ‘I’m too tired to see the UK Prime Minister’ has pushed his communist agenda, purposefully depressing the US economy.
If I remember the Dump-beat of Stram, it was the Republican spending that was hurting this nation.
Now Stram is all silent.
The stock market is cut in half since the Democrats took Congress.
Socialism always kills – and so it will.

That’s right, H.D. Just pretend the past eight years never happened. Anything that’s wrong with the US economy can be blamed on President Obama — who’s been in office for almost two whole months now! — and the Democrats in Congress.
Which is it going to be, by the way? Will it be a civil war, or will you guys just head off to Galt’s Gulch to get away from the worthless people who don’t produce wealth?
