I fear Barack Obama may have made the classic political mistake of "peaking" too early. I fear his candidacy will ultimately be hamstrung by the constant "character issues" attacks. Until libs, Dems, and progressives get together and figure out how to fight back, we're just going to keep on losing, and the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Know-nothing_party" rel="nofollow">Know-Nothing</a> wing of the GOP is going to keep eating our lunch (or "drinking our milkshake," as the current parlance would have it).
