Questions
1. The Bush administration continues to argue that the “global war on terror” gives the president the authority to make any decision he chooses, without any kind of judicial or legislative oversight, as long as he does so under the rubric of the “war on terror,” and claims the mantle of Commander-In-Chief while doing so. President Bush will no longer be president as of 20 January 2009. Will our next president have the same unchecked/unbalanced powers? Would Bush supporters trust a President Joe Lieberman or President Hillary Clinton with this kind of power?
2. How is it brave and patriotic to be so frightened of the specter of something called “Islamofascism” that you will not only excuse and defend, but actively welcome, an ongoing series of abrogations of your Constitutional rights?

1) HELL NO….
2) The more accurate question to be asked would be: “How ignorant and sheep-like to be frightened of something called ‘Islamofascism’ that you will accept virtually ANY abrogation of your Constitutional rights in order that you feel safe?” (To paraphrase Ben Franklin, he who willingly acquiesces in the curtailment of liberty for the perception of increased security deserves neither liberty nor security.)
